A new brand of Organic Chickpea Puffs, called Hippeas, has officially launched in the United States. They are looking to revolutionize the snacking industry with their quality products and innovative practices. The snacks are described as light and crunchy. They contain high amounts of protein and fiber. The snack is low-calorie, certified organic, gluten-free, GMO free, kosher, and vegan friendly.
Hippeas snacks are made from USDA organic certified chickpeas and are available in six unique flavors. These flavors include: Far Out Fajita, with chili, paprika and cumin puffs, Pepper Power, with pepper and a sprinkle of sea salt, Happenin’ Hickory with sweet tomato, onion and garlic with a hint of smoked hickory, Maple Haze, syrupy sweet puffs with a savory edge, Vegan White Cheddar, cheese puff, without the cheese, Sriracha Sunshin, tangy-sweet spicy jalapeño and paprika puffs.
Livio Bisterzo, CEO of Green Park Brands has had very good things to say about the company’s new product, “Hippeas has everything it takes to become the next globally loved snack brand. We truly believe that HIPPEAS embodies every major snacking global trend, while delivering a very powerful, emotional storyline to our millennial audience.”
HIPPEAS and Livio Bisterzo does not want to follow the other snack brands’ marketing. “Tastes good” and “do good” are two phrases that the company likes to keep together and base their marketing on. The company’s slogan is “Peas, Love & Giving Back,” and so far, they seem to have lived by it, having partnered with Farm Africa, a charity working to end hunger and bring prosperity to villages in Africa. For each pack sold, the brand has pledged to donate a portion of the profits to help support chickpea farmers in Africa according to Livio Bisterzo. They help the farmers grow and sell plants to get out of poverty, assisting them in building a better life for themselves and their families.
HIPPEAS Organic Chickpea Puffs in Far Out Fajita and Vegan White Cheddar are available now at certain Starbucks® locations around the country, and will soon come to other retailers, including Whole Foods and Amazon.
